Piracy in the South China Sea
China's Coast Guard stopped a Philippine Coast Guard small boat near Second Thomas Shoal. Chinese sailors attempted to puncture the inflatable hull of the supply boat with diver knives. Chinese sailors attacked a crew member with a fire axe chopping off his right thumb. Chinese sailors stole supplies from the small boat as the crew was being attacked.
Piracy: (noun) the practice of attacking and robbing ships at sea.

I am actually more concerned about conflict with China kicking off because of something related to the Philippines than related to Taiwan. We have 'strategic ambiguity' for Taiwan, but rarely do we talk about the US-Philippines defense agreement, which could easily be invoked by The Philippines if a sailor or citizen is killed either with intent or accidentally. When bladed weapons start coming out, all bets are off. Let us not forget the hand to hand fights between Indian and Chinese soldiers. It can happen and frankly is more or less a only matter of time if this continues.

Why should China stand idly by watching the US build up its military infrastructure? Surely the most logical course is to interdict these deployments where possible, as indeed is the case. Marcos the current president, son of Ferdinand Marcos the notorious Kleptocrat and long term dictator of the Filipinos, is entirely financed by stolen Filipino monies held within the US banking sector. It is no coincidence that the Philippines remains the second most backward state economically and politically in the Archipelago after New Guinea, it's client state relationship with the USA being a prima fascia case for not aligning with the USA.

The Philippines sent military forces to participate in the operation, driving high-speed assault boats to ram Chinese coast guard ships several times; the Philippines threw heavy metal objects and other heavy objects at Chinese personnel, and also splashed unknown liquids, "which constituted a malicious attack." The Chinese coast guard only carried normal law enforcement tools to participate in law enforcement, and did not carry offensive weapons like the Philippines. In the process of law enforcement, it was "reasonable, beneficial, and restrained, and the handling was reasonable, legal, and standardized."

Just don't come close to Phillipine vessels and they can't throw heavy objects at PLAN vessels. Also it is not like the PLAN has undertaken similar operations before with water canon etc. Just keep out of Phillipine operations and there is no issue. Thank you for taking the time to review this ship, whether you refer to it as a frigate or something else entirely. However, I must point out that the information provided seems quite dated. Notably absent from your analysis is any mention of Iran's supersonic cruise missiles, which have been undergoing extensive testing for over two years now. It appears likely that these advanced weapons will be integrated into the Iranian navy by 2024 or early 2025, marking a significant enhancement to its capabilities. Regarding the SM-1 missile you discussed, I believe you're referring to what is known in Iran as the Mehrab missile. This system surpasses the SM-1 in numerous aspects. Additionally, Iran possesses several newer generations of VLS technology, each offering advantages over the SM-1. Your reliance on reverse-engineering assumptions seems excessive, especially considering that many of these technologies may not even be accessible to Iran. Moreover, it's important to acknowledge that reverse engineering is a common practice across various militaries, including those of the United States, which has extensively utilized reverse engineering techniques for Soviet-era equipment. It's misleading to present these efforts as purely innovative developments without acknowledging the broader context of technological acquisition and adaptation. Comparing the navies of Iran and China to that of the United States is a challenging task, given the vast disparities in age and technology. Many of your naval vessels date back to World War II, yet you assert that China's modern navy is inferior to yours. This perspective seems somewhat skewed, particularly when considering recent advancements and investments made by China in its respective naval force. For instance, the Rails gun project, which was abandoned by the U.S. due to technical challenges, was successfully developed and refined by China, addressing the issues that led to its abandonment. This development underscores the capacity of other nations to innovate and adapt technologies, challenging the notion of American superiority in naval technology. In conclusion, while the United States undoubtedly holds a strong position in global military might, it is essential to recognize the progress and capabilities of other nations, such as Iran and China. The narrative of absolute American dominance overlooks the strides being made by other countries in naval technology and defense innovation. Have a good day.

Given that this is internationally recognized Philippine protected waters, I'd like to see an emergency broadcast message from the shoal about a "pirate" attack and a response by the US with the littoral class ships to see if they can execute a supply run as a simple productive mission of life time. Naturally, if the PLN would like to escalate during entry from international waters into internationally recognized Philippian waters, we can correct them on their GPS reading skills with the proper assets to show them the error via triangulation of their erroneous readings. It's a simple demonstration that as the Chinese ferry boats drift towards across the straight to Taiwan, that if we cut across their bow with US assets before the landing, FAFO. While diplomacy is a subtle art, being blatant and obvious about the intended message prevents any miscommunications.
